How are we perceived,

if we are to be perceived at all?

For the most part we are invisible.

Perseids

August 12th, 2008

2AM.
Time Machine was playing on tv.
But we drove out to the mountains to see the meteors.
Up on the hill above the sea of ocean mist,
wrapped in a blanket lying on top of a car,
and gazing into the sky’s celestial blue,
  I counted 43 falling stars.
